Hooked everything up and got an e9 error code. Owners manual instructs to replace controller. Inquired 3 different times to get a replacement. Still no help from pexmore.
I upgraded my long-tail cargo bike (Trek Transport) with this conversion kit. Everything was straightforward, online instructions were clear, and I didn't hit any roadblocks. This is a heavy bike and it was more than enough to handle it, even when pretty heavily loaded. So far, so good, pleased.
I have installed three of these kits on three different bikes. They work well and make bike riding a lot of fun.
Almost a year now, and 2 rims later, this hubmotor has operated in some fairly extreme conditions without any operational loss. It's survived rough riding through 2 rim replacements and 3 respoke operations.
No negative effects.
The PAS system is the best I've installed. Only downside is the throttle speed is limited to the PAS settings and a PAS 0 for just throttle use is unavailable. Both throttle options are available with other systems of lesser quality.
There was an issue that required customer service which was prompt and effective.
Overall I highly recommend this kit.
